Exact versions, build flags, source URLs, copyright notices, and license texts must be generated from the release build before distribution.

Release checklist

  • Freeze every dependency and executable version.
  • Record SHA-256 values and source URLs for bundled binaries.
  • Save FFmpeg and mpv build configurations.
  • Exclude unreviewed GPL-only or non-redistributable components.
  • Bundle required license texts in the installer.
  • Complete open-source license review before public distribution.
